In regard to the picture above Lynn says: “Brian Fugett and I took pictures of the laundry behind City Lights Bookstore. I figured hell, why not capture some poetic underwear.”
For those of you that don’t know, City Lights is a fantastic bookstore in San Francisco founded in 1953 by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. It is home to the Pocket Poetry Series, was a major beat hangout, and is situated near Jack Kerouac Alley where my husband would like his ashes dumped. Also, I once, without store employee permission, snuck my chapbook onto the shelves.
