Ghost Girl is a Week Old

Phew! It has been a WEEK…and then some.

Ghost Girl came out last Tuesday and the weekend before this magical thing happened

Yeah that’s my dumb face freaking out over seeing my book in the Barnes and Noble in Union Square

And then THIS thing happened

Yeah that’s me SIGNING my book in Barnes and Noble

I was fine in the store believe it or not. But hours later, back home, it hit me hard. I did it. I did the THING. I made my biggest dream come true. Not without the help of so many wonderful kind people but yeah, it happened. I saw my book on the shelf at Barnes and Noble. To whoever might be reading this, that thing you want that you think can’t happen? It can. I promise you, it can.

Trust me.

Launch week was amazing. Talking with everyone about Ghost Girl was amazing but none so amazing as the class visit I had yesterday chatting with kids about Spooky Stuff!

It was incredible to see copies of my book in other people’s posts and every time someone sends me a picture from a bookstore my heart explodes.

So thank you to everyone who shared, read, bought, reviewed, or congratulated me. Sharing all of this with all of you has made this experience even better

And my friend Cindy sent me these!!!

How did i get so lucky to have a friend like this?

And of course, the best best best part is seeing people’s reactions to it. These are two of my favorites. First up, I got a scooby do reference

And then one reviewer blew me away

See what I mean? How did I ever get so lucky?

From the bottom of my mossy muddy heart, thanks for celebrating Ghost Girl with me, everyone. You made my entire life! Cheers!

I live in Brooklyn which is good except when it’s not which is horrid. I’ve been writing for awhile, and have some stuff published and some stuff not. I don’t like when people refer to pets as their children and I can’t resist a handful of cheez-its when offered. I have a burning desire to go to Antarctica, specifically to the South Pole so I can see where Robert Falcon Scott died. I like to read books. I like to write stories and poems. I even wrote some novels. You can read them.
